Since 2008, the Donna and Benjamin M. Rosen Bioengineering Center has supported research at the intersection of biology and engineering through the funding of fellows and faculty from many disciplines, including applied physics, chemical engineering, synthetic biology, and computer science.
Bioengineering is an incredibly exciting field! Solutions to some of the biggest problems in science, medicine, and sustainability will come from the interface between biology and engineering and Caltech is well positioned to be at the forefront. Director Frances Arnold envisions a key role for the Rosen Center in the development of innovative programs for bioengineering research and education.
The Executive Director will lead and expand the Center's on-going efforts to promote and support creative and cutting-edge research across all bioengineering disciplines at Caltech.
